LaShauna's Story

I stumbled across a flyer for the CFO program on the Red line train during a time when I was raising three kids on my own and struggling to get ahead. I had attempted to go to college and get a degree twice, but was unsuccessful.

I am a single mother of two teenage boys, one who is currently in college and the other who is pursuing a career in Culinary Arts. I am a Certified Paralegal with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I recently worked as a Legal Assistant for the largest minority law firm in the country.
