There are more than 37 million people in the U.S. living in poverty. A variety of factors including student debt and income inequality can impact an individual’s ability to break out of poverty. Former Boston Mayor Kim Janey, the now president and CEO of EMPath, a non-profit group devoted to improving the lives of people living in poverty, joined Dan to discuss the implications of the racial wealth gap and how to break the cycle of poverty.
