RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Catholic Charities has a new program called elevating families. The goal is to help parents grow stronger and build a brighter tomorrow by using Economic Mobility Mentoring.

Families will work with trained mentors get personalized support and a comprehensive approach To help them grow the confidence and skills to overcome challenges, achieve economic independence and create a brighter future.

So far over 30 families have applied to work on ending their generational poverty. Different from traditional case management the program is one on one with mentors help leading and guide the process for parents.

To apply you have to have at least one child that is 11 or younger and parents need to be 55 or younger.
